Welcome to Abanyakigezi, the official website of the International Community of Banyakigezi [ICOB]. Our organisation, now in its 7th year, brings together all the people of Kigezi and all friends of Banyakigezi.
Nominations formembership of the ICOB Board of Directors
In Compliance with Article V of the Bylaws of the International Community of Banyakigezi [ICOB], there will be elections to fill vacancies on the Board of Diretors on Saturday August 28, 2010 during its annual convention that will be held in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Whereas Article V (D) of the Bylaws of ICOBstates that "Each candidate seeking election to any office at a forthcoming meeting shall declare such candidate’s intention to the Secretary no later than 30 (thirty) days prior to the commencement of the Corporation’s general meeting;
and whereas the deadline for these nominations woyld be 24:00 hours on July 28, 2010;
In the interests of democracy and fairness to all prospective candidates for these positions, the deadline has been extended to 2400 hours July 31, 2010.

The names of prospective candidates will be posted on the ICOB website www.abanyakigezi.org. However, prospective candidates are advised that to qualify to stand for any of the above offices, prior to the election in Boston “each candidate for office will have to demonstrate that he or she is seconded by at least 10 (ten) members of the local chapter to which such candidate belongs.” [Article V (E)]

ICOB Boston Convention 2010
